I was raised in Lynchburg, Tennessee in a working class family. I remember my parents leaving for work before sunrise and returning well after dark. I also remember when a distracted driver rear-ended our family car and seriously hurt my mother. As a two income family, when my mother was unable to work our family faced an uncertain future. My parents hired an attorney and he took away the anxiety, the fear, and the worry. I decided at an early age that I wanted to represent families and be the person who helped during dark times.
